Why I’m Running

I’m passionate about the health and success of our industry as a whole. I believe that the success of the industry is what helps drive growth at our companies. I understand SEMA from a volunteer viewpoint and our industry as a successful business owner, it’s now time for me to further my volunteer involvement. The industry is strong and evolving, I am thrilled to already be a part of that, but I’m hopeful to have a larger role in the future growth of the industry at a pivotal point in time.

We need to engage the next generation of enthusiasts to ensure we have customers, employees and shop owners well into the future. I’m already doing that locally and will bring that experience to the SEMA Board.

I will help to ensure that the right questions are being asked and that the industry is being looked at through multiple viewpoints. With your vote, I will be a voice for business owners large and small, family owned and otherwise, to ensure the future success of our industry.

  • My father started QA1 in 1993, and I got my start at a young age by folding boxes in the warehouse. I’ve done everything from customer service and accounting to material handling and marketing. After pursuing my MBA, I returned to QA1 in 2011, becoming President in 2013 and Chair of the Board in 2014. My volunteer roles with SEMA and the industry have grown throughout the years and I’m excited to have several on the QA1 team volunteering their time to industry initiatives.

  • Engineered for Speed is a program I co-founded, which serves every 5th grader in our local school district. Each year, QA1 provides a team of engineers and techs to go to each of the schools to help the STEM teachers teach about the engineering and design elements for race cars. We help close to 1,000 students annually build cars, teach them about weight distribution and aerodynamics, and culminate the program with school-wide races. Fun fact, this program started with a $1,000 grant from SEMA! I am a founding member of the Steering Committee for Lakeville Works, a group dedicated to growing career resources and opportunities for those in the community. We work closely with the school district and local trade programs to educate and inform the community about career opportunities in the trades.

  • At QA1, we believe in optimizing experiences from the manufacturing floor to the end user. Our values-based approach has built a strong team culture where we are proud to be people centric, create solutions, earn it, and do the right thing. Our industry was built by innovators and enthusiasts. As business leaders, it’s our job to continue this innovation so our end users have fun with their vehicles. As aftermarket companies, the products we design, manufacture, and distribute make the customer’s experience possible. I lead QA1 with these values in mind, and I would be proud to be your advocating voice on the SEMA board.

Youth Engagement

With your vote, I promise to advocate for youth engagement to ensure our industry and the car hobby are healthy and growing for years to come.

American Manufacturing

SEMA was founded by a group of speed parts manufacturers and hot rodders, and while the industry has changed over the years - the SEMA membership still consists of small family-owned businesses just like yours and mine.
